台中Gas1&2

Taichung Gas 1&2 are fuel-oil gas turbine units located within Taichung Power Plant's site in Longjing District, Taichung City, alongside the plant's coal and combined-cycle gas units, typically dispatched for peak or reserve needs.

Taichung Gas1&2 are gas turbine units from the plant's first construction phase, commissioned in 1990 alongside two sister units, each rated at around 70MW. These units start up quickly and dispatch flexibly, but cost more to run than the coal-fired and combined-cycle units, so they are mainly reserved for peak demand or emergency backup.
