Plant Overview
Qingshan Power Plant is located in Ren'ai Township, Nantou County, part of the upper Zhuoshui River hydroelectric system, forming a stepped cascade together with the Wanda and Songlin plants.
Qingshan Power Plant is an underground powerhouse fitted with four vertical-shaft Francis turbine-generator units. Units 1 and 2 were completed and the plant formally established in 1970, with units 3 and 4 added from 1971. It is often cited as Taiwan's largest conventional hydroelectric plant by installed capacity, part of the Dajia River hydro system alongside Deji and Guguan.
